20th Annual Leadership Excellence Awards Gala Dinner
On Friday 21 May 2021, LG Professionals SA rolled out the red carpet for local government at the Adelaide Convention Centre at the Local Government Professionals Australia, SA 20th Annual Leadership Excellence Awards Gala Dinner. More than 540 local government professionals were in attendance at this black-tie affair, solidifying it as the sector’s premier night of the year.
“The event is a showcase of the amazing services and programs that local government delivers each year to our communities. It’s an excellent opportunity to recognise and celebrate those achievements—it’s local government’s night of nights”, said Rhiannon Grebenshikoff Acting CEO, LG Professionals SA.
The LGFA has been sponsoring this event for a number of years as Diamond Partner. Davin Lambert, CEO, had the honour of presenting the City of Unley – Cohousing for Ageing Well Project Team with the Community Partnerships and Collaboration award.
This award acknowledges excellence in community partnerships, and partnerships created to provide or improve services that strengthen and enhance the physical or social infrastructure of a region, including integration with the other spheres of government or non-local government entities.
It was awarded as recognition of for the City of Unley Cohousing for Ageing Well Project. The project employed cross council collaboration between the City of Unley, City of Burnside, City of Prospect and Town of Walkerville as well as housing researchers from the Architecture Program at UniSA, under the financial support of the Office for Ageing Well and partnership with the State Planning Commission, and Department of Planning Transport and Infrastructure (now PlanSA).
We also congratulate our past LGFA Board chair, Mr John Comrie, who was presented with the LG Professionals SA Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Sector.
